Lots of this and that.. bits of this and that: 2005
2005 began in the middle of hugs and kisses of half of my family. This time part of my family crew decided to be with the other half of their new families (those ones who got married now spending Christmas and New Year's Eve with partner's families). It felt sort of strange since was like my famiy was incomplete. In some way I felt someone stole them.... mmm.. yes... I'm kinda selfish with family hehe.. but I'm used to be with almost all of them together. Well, we gotta accepted that these things happen and family size and shape will not always be the same.
I started 2005 with someone by my side.. I mean talking about having someone you love. He was with his friends up there in California receiving 2005, in a few days I was going to visit him in his sunny California. And that day arrived. A long long trip to get to Los Angeles when he was going to pick me up. First time I was involved in a long distance relationship and it feels really weird when this "virtual boyfriend" is waiting for you at the end of the entrance for incoming passengers. At the end it really works out. I met his family and friends and they were really really nice. He behave really good with me, in fact he is a very good boyfriend... but you know how I am... missunderstable at all! so I broke with him after he came to visit me to Colombia in March and he met my friends and family. Why? well... reasons that only matters to him and me. California? mmm.. really cool. And I got to work with the guys of AIESEC Berkeley so it was really satisfactory. The state of California is just amazing, full of different people, urban
craziness, beautiful nature, cool young scene. San Francisco just amazing, my favourite city so far, full of tolerancy and freedom. Great! Does not look at all like the rest of the United States.
Keeping on talking about love..mnmm...2005 did not represent a love story at all hehe.. I broke up with Shakina on May and since that nobody has even stair at me hehe... it seems I've lost my sex-appeal hehe. Well, on November I met this someone who says is in charmed with me (ridiculous word I know but don't know how to translated in a less cheeky way) but it didn't end up ok and built up a sort of armor around me at the hour of meeting new people.
Results: 1 breaking-up and 1 interesting person not good for my heart.
Talking about non-love things.. well 2005 was really good. I was in my term of President of my Local Committee of AIESEC, AIESEC Uninorte. Such an amazing experience that let me huge learning experiences, several trips and the priviledge of meeting many people all around the country and world related to my work. Things to be proud of: AIESEC Uninorte realized the most number of exchanges in its history: 34 in total (16 outgoing and 18 incoming) and also raised the highest number of traineeships ever: 18 in total. 22 members took part of the International Exchange Programme, the best number ever also. Really satisfactory when you feel everything worked in such good way. Bad things: some quality problems with these traineeships related to some trainees behaviours at their jobs and to some problems with their payments due to bureoucracy problems at their workplaces.
University? just another year. Nothing important to tell. Well.. I got my traineeship accepted by the university to do it by AIESEC in Poland with the UNDP. But well.. that's part of 2006 chapter.
Family? MY SISTER IS PREGNANT! Yes, I'm going to be an uncle!. the Unkle Jk! hehe.. I can wait for Gabriela to be born! Be sure that she will have a great uncle!! the best! hehe... it's sad that I will not meet her until June when I will be back from Poland, since she is going to be born in February, well that's when the doctors expect my sister to be in labour.
There are also rumours in my family that my brother is finally getting married. Who knows? I like his girlfriend, so it would be cool these news become real. Same rumour on my cousin Eric and his girlfriend Betty. Let's wait for 2006 to see if there is going to be a multiple wedding ceremony in the family hehe. Rest of the family.... the same... nothing else exciting enough to worth mention here.
OK,,,, I don't know if I can give final point to this sort of 2005 summary, but I am tired. I think I will complement it up later.... by the moment enjoy of my 2005 history... lots of excitement waiting for me in 2006 for sure.!
