Thank you West!
Every mid-October AIESEC in Colombia has its Regional Conferences. They are called Tools Development Meeting (TDM) and are celebrated in three different cities, each one according to the 3 zones Colombia is divided: North, Center and West. The North one was celebrated in Bucaramanga and usually I would attend this one, but I was selected as facilitator for the West Zone in Exchange Management issues.
At the beginning I was sort of sad because the whole of my delegation was travelling to Bucaramanga while I was taking an airplane to Pereira where the West Zone TDM took place. I knew I was going to see some friends I have at West Zone but never imagined how good it was going to be.
Firstly when I changed my flight from Bogotá to Pereira I realized I was travelling with the X Factor contestant, a reality shows like the Colombian American Idol or sort of. One of the groups in there are from Barranquilla and studied with me in the high school... so I was like.. "hi".. shy hi at all! now they're famous.. hehe.. funny. The funniest thing happened when I arrived to the airport. The first luggage on the tape was mine one. I picked it up and left the migration section. What a surprise when I see a lot of people screaming, with boards and almost crying. Someone said "oh it's not him"... hahaha... I was so sorry, I was not from the X Factor.
Then I took a taxi with destiny to where Sebastián, the LCP of AIESEC EIA was waiting for me. We met with the other facilitators and members of the MC and went for dinner. I was so surprised to see how cheap Pereira is! everything was almost half price than in Barranquilla. I felt miserable, all my life paying the double price for the same thing in the same country!!.. unfair!... and by the way Pereira has the best hamburgers I've ever tried.
The day of the conference arrived and the sessions began. Everything great!... excellent team of facilitator: Jenny from @Cali, Dora LCP from @Cali, Felipe LCP from @Manizales and Sebastián LCP @EIA. We also had the support of our MCVP LP&P Juliana and our MCVP Finances Paula. They told me the conference was going to be in an Eco-Hotel. A kind of hotel which is at the same
time a protected area because of its nature richness. But when we arrived! wow! I never imagined it was going to be that beautiful!! amazing!Sessions: excellent
Track: very good
Parties: excellent
Food: very good
Hotel: very good
Roll Calls: good (EAFIT ones rocked)
Landscape: beautiful
MC: drunk
And me: horribly drunk! first night me and some friends of mine from both LC of Medellín (EAFIT and EIA) started the pay the promise we made a few weeks ago: we were going to drink Aguardiente Antioqueño the whole night. Result: me drunk in aprox. 1 hour! I don't even remember a lot of things that happened! I just woke up the next day without glasses, wallet and mobile. My glasses were under the toilet, the cellphone under the bed and my wallet never appeared until night when it was given back to me after doing a punishment in front of everybody :S. Guilty of my drunk phase: Sandra Gómez, from AIESEC EIA! she got me drunk. I accused her in public!

Well, at least I survived and I was ready for the tracks next day. Everything was fantastic. Members of AIESEC in Western Zone are really enthusiastic and want to implement a bunch of new strategies in order to improve their performance as zone in AIESEC in Colombia. Really high potential. Next day I was supposed to be the chair, so I was so happy doing a lot of punishments! =)... my dream came true. Result: 7 punishments to 21 people hehe.. I promise pictures next post.
The last night party was a Halloween Party one. In october Colombian celebrates the Halloween Party as most of western countries. The party was really good. My MC was completely drunk, I really changed my image on my MC, hehe... they can get drunk too! I didn't know that.
Summing up, the conference was really cool! full of content, good content, enthusiastic delegates, great parties and beautiful landscape.
THANKS WEST!! THE WEST THE WEST THE WEST IS THE BEST!

My change of hairstyle

Yes. I have decided to kill Mr. Hair & Bear. As you can see in the picture where my hair and bear along with me are getting drunk with Martha, I used to have an "pro-afro style". Well, it's over!
Tired of feeling the hair on my ears and using a lot of hair-caring products I took a hair machine and decided to kill that thing that was living on my head and bear.
FINALLY I'M FREE! It feels so much better! I promise not to let it grow more than 2 centimeters never again!!

This is my new hairstyle. Short again!!! FREE
Thanks God for the inspiration!
