Happy Birthday Barranquilla!

Today is my hometown's birthday! 193 years ago this wonderful city full of parties, carnival, happy and open people, hot weather, sunny days and laidback lifestyle was officially declared as a ville.

Barranquilla is a metropolis of 1.7 million inhabitants located on the delta of Magdalena river, the main river of Colombia. This caribbean atmosphere, the 1950's inmigration of Arabs, Italians, Chinese, Jewish and many other nationalities people, the carnival, the afro-american influence and the breeze coming from the sea makes of Barranquilla a special place to live.

Missing Barranquilla has been one of my daily activities. Its food, the music on the streets, my family, my friends, the breeze!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BARRANQUILLA!
