Going back to Polska!!

Yes!! I am coming back to Vodka Land!! The country which gave me one of my most touching experiences ever: Poland.

This time in order to attend the AIESEC International Congress 2006 in Poland.

More than 1200 people counting AIESECers, partners and supporters are attending the biggest AIESEC conference putting the whole network together in one place during almost three weeks.

It's so exciting! These are the moments when you realize the power of AIESEC. Besides this is my very first international conference. I could not attended one before because of life games. Now it is my opportunity. And the best part is that the whole MC of AIESEC In Colombia is attending the conference along Lucas Florez (LCP @EAFIT). In total 12 Colombians present at the IC counting our members of MC Abroad and AI members! And 13 counting our marvellous adopted Colombian from Germany: Bee!!

So, AIESEC in the world!! see you at the IC!! @Colombia will rock the whole network!!

Me and my Lebanese friend

More than 1.500 people were killed during the confrontation between Israel and Lebanon during the past few weeks. Stupid war that reduce the meaning of human beings to instruments and/or objects to demonstrate power.

We can not let us govern by those vertical powers that are destroying our integrity as humanity because of their very own interests. We are independent people with an independent conception of life and mental elements.

Me, a Jewish descendant guy and one of my best friend Martha (whose parents are Lebanese) who I love for being so special with me. We have built a great friendship based on trust and support. I love you!!

At the zoo in Barranquilla

Jails, jails, jails.... but ok I will stop criticizing it, I really enjoyed my visit to the zoo of Barranquilla. With my best friend Oscar we randomly stopped at the zoo watching the behaviour of the animals living in there. Monkeys discussing because of the food, lazy lions, silly otters, hidden anaconda, in fact a big nature show, a psychological analysis to our origins. With ice-cream included ;). Here in Bogotá there is no a decent zoo... I hate this because zoo really reminds me of my childhood... wild childhood hehe.. but well, it was a nice morning, a random morning with a random plan and the best friend.

Me, my friends and Barranquilla

Due to some sentimental, friendship, family and legal commitments I saw myself obligated to fly to Barranquilla, my home. Sort of stress out because of the time it will take from my work but at the same very happy because I was going to visit my friends, enjoy of the Caribbean breeze and atmosphere and the good feeling I have when I go back to Barranquilla.

My friends there, as always, everyday less out of them still being in Barranquilla but this time Lili came back from her MC year at Southern Cone, Rochy from her traineeship in UK and Oscar, Martha and Andrea like always there. With my family it was really weird to see the situation from the outside. Since November I am not living with my parents and it feels really weird to be back and not having your own bedroom but sleeping in the new guess room. Akward!

AIESEC Uninorte? well, what can I say? I love my LC. I attended a General Legislative Assembly where they had a really interesting discussion around the local fund of savings. I am really amazed how critical is my native LC becoming. I trust them a lot. And of course it was great to see them all again. We had a sort of Men Night talking about girls and manly things.. hehe... what a pity I'm gay! hehe.. but always the question they make to me: "Is this guy gay eh?" that's my function in the group.

I definitively miss Barranquilla. These days I was reading one Uninorte's trainee' blog and she said something really true: Barranquilla is not a city with special things or exotic beauty. Is not Paris or New York. But what makes it really special is the people.

I really miss the atmosphere of my city. Its blue sky, the sun, the music everywhere, the people talking loud, smily people in the streets, relaxing mood. In love with Barranquilla, that's what I am. I miss it, missing my friends and the people I love. I miss my history there, what I was, what made me grow. Every element that forms my personality. Most of that lies in there... hope to be back soon.
