The myth is over!

Ladies and gentlemen!

we don't eat female cows! we eat male cows! YYYYYYYESSSS! most of the meat sold and consumed by humans come from male cows! Talking with a friend of mine who works on the commerce of cattle, he told me the truth: we eat male cows most of the times!...

Yes I know how does it feel: they have cheated on us during all this time.

So, basically...

we eat this:

We don't eat this:

New LCP at AIESEC Uninorte!

Around 2 weeks ago, the LC where I was born in AIESEC elected new LCP. I was invited as moderator of the official assembly since I was in Barranquilla by those days. It was a really tigh decission between 2 people I really admire! They joined AIESEC later than me and I saw them both growing as members of the association. Lorena was my LCVP PD when I was LCP and Camilo has been always an outstanding member of the association and LCVP Projects during this year.

When I was counting the votes and seeing it was going to be decided by Vote of Confidence I felt really proud of AIESEC Uninorte for being so correct with the way they are responsible for the future of this LC. At the end the luck benefited Camilo who is the new LCP of AIESEC Uninorte for 2007.

Big congrats Cami! you can't imagine how does it feel to be LCP of this incredible LC! Leader of the GN and always present on AI. The energy of this LC can't be expressed. You're really lucky!...

Hard times...decissions need to be taken

You never know when those things we talk about when discussing the problems of our country are going to knock at your door. You never know when you have to take decissions that can affect your lifestyle. It seems I have to leave Bogota soon changing drastically the way my life was planned until June 2007.

I hope I can still being MCVP X from up there. Decission need to be taken by the whole team. Next week's MC meeting I will put it on the table for discussion.

Expecting at least good news. Hoping to be allowed to continue from my city,

....sort of sad...

HIV Prevalence: very fat Africa!

HIV, or Human Immunodeficiency Virus Infection, attacks the immune system. It eventually causes AIDS, which stands for Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. With cases first recognised in the United States in 1981, AIDS increases the risk of many infections and tumours.

In 2003, the highest HIV prevalence was Swaziland, where 38%, or almost 4 in every 10 people aged 15 to 49 years, were HIV positive. All ten territories with the highest prevalence of HIV are in Central and Southeastern Africa.

Transmission of HIV is through sex, using infected needles and in the womb. Infected children are not shown here. HIV/AIDS often has an acquired social stigma.

MSN: I miss you

MSN. Why are you behaving so bad with me? What did I do to you? I need you!
Please work the proper way again! I need you!

Thanksgiving away from home

Again :(

2005: could not be there.

This year, in Bogota, where nobody seen to care... Barranquilla's things... thanksgiving celebrated up there but not in Bogota, strange. Sometimes I think Barranquilla in some way is more open to other cultures than Bogota. According to size and world perception must be in the other way.

2004: was a lot of fun...

Missing that Thanksgiving 2004 with Lili, Juli, Peps, Lorenaar and the La Tortura Crew! Have fun in Barranquilla!!

Manizales: cool and cold!

My first visit to Manizales was really cool. It's not the biggest city or the most cosmopolitan, in fact only a few more than 400.000 inhabitants live there, but its atmosphere is really cool. The people is very kind and the clouds covering the city which lays on the top of a mountain and melts down by both sides of the mountain.

After a very intense weekend of TDM West in the surrounding area we went back to Manizales in order to know it. Really cool time. Thanks to the AIESEC Manizales guys, you were amazing.

TDM: Thank you again West!

Just like a year ago, West Zone of AIESEC In Colombia received me with arms wide open. Four days of stress, joy and learning, this time not just as facilitator but as member of MC Team.

Here the final picture of the whole TDM West delegation:

Thanks!
